Robert “Kibo” Thompson is the founder, CEO and Chief Creative Director of Getcaught Media, an integrated communications firm.
A fine artist, painter and entrepreneur- he started as an ad agency apprentice graphic designer, then created a t-shirt
company with his signature artwork designs; moved on to a one-man design shop. He eventually evolved into leading a team of
twelve individuals and growing the company now branded Getcaught Media.
Robert considers design primarily an art form even though it’s expressed through the structure of a business.
With a passion for design, he built an impressive reputation for excellence over the twelve years working in the communications
industry. He has kept premium brands such as Appleton Jamaica Rum, Jamaica Reggae Boyz, VP Records, Cable & Wireless, and Jamaica
Stock Exchange quite happy, and has led the company’s team in delivering a branded advantage to a slew of Jamaican, Caribbean
and international startups.
Amongst Robert’s many achievements, he has been honored as one of the most outstanding graduates in the fifty year history of
the Edna Manley School for the Visual Arts. He now conducts guest lectures there in the field of Communication Arts.
A voracious reader of business books and is the consummate gadget freak.
